ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are announcing with sadness that Dr. Saran will be leaving Pediatric Healthcare.
It is with joy that we announce that Dr. Saran has pursued and been accepted into the seminary to study for the priesthood for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Dr. Saran's wife (who was our office manager) died after a short battle with cancer a little over a year ago. The discernment to this decision takes Dr. Saran into a new direction and we hope the best for him.
Pediatric Healthcare is actively looking for a new physician, but wants you to be assured that the remaining three doctors will be glad to see any of Dr. Sarans patients until a replacement is found. Fortunately, Patti his long time nurse, will remain at the practice to help maintain the continuity of care for your children.
Dr. Saran's last day will be August 6th as he starts his studies the next week. Please contact our office for any questions.
A Letter From Dr. Saran:
June 11, 2010
To My Dear Patients and Families,
As most of you are aware, my wife died in April of 2009, after a short but brave battle with cancer. The support and kindness that you have shown me was very much appreciated and I thank you. Along with the support, it has been my faith that has helped me through my grief. It is that same faith that has now called me in a different direction.
I recently applied to the seminary of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee for the priesthood. At the end of May, I received a letter indicating that I have been accepted into the program which begins in the fall of 2010. While I love pediatrics and cherish all of the children and families who I have worked with over the past 25 years, I will be ending me practice at Pediatric Healthcare to enter the seminary. My last clinic date will be August 6, 2010.
Although this has happened quickly my colleagues at Pediatric Healthcare have assured me that they are more than able and willing to diligently meet your child’s healthcare needs. They are also actively searching for another pediatrician to round out the team. Additionally, my nurse Patti will remain at the practice and will make every effort to help my patients during this transition period.
I strongly encourage you to maintain your relationship with Pediatric Healthcare. Dr. Pikna and I started this practice about 25 years ago, and were quickly joined by Dr. Donovan and then Dr. Mansour. We have worked together as a team for over 15 years, and I am confident that they will continue to provide the same high quality healthcare after my departure. I am grateful for the confidence that you have entrusted to me as your family’s pediatrician. I ask that you continue to put your trust in my colleagues as I know that they will be able to meet your children’s healthcare needs.
Thank you again for the privilege of being a small part of your lives. I will always cherish these memories as I move forward in my journey.
Sincerely,
Dennis j. Saran, MD
